Q: “Is this a concierge practice?”
A: No, we are a fee-for-service practice for all of our services. We do not require any additional fees aside from those related to copayments, deductibles, missed appointments, or services not covered by insurance.

Q: “When is it appropriate to call your office or your on-call number with a health concern?”
A: When you have established care with one of our primary care providers or our other providers (such as dietitians)

Q: “When is it not appropriate to call your office or your on-call number with a health concern?”
A: If you are not already a patient, provided your consent to treat, and have already seen one of our providers to establish care.
The on-call number is reserved for true medical concerns – not for medication refills, reviewing labs, asking about appointments or scheduling appointments.

Q: “What services can I access without being a patient of one of your doctors?”
A: All of our wellness services (medical nutrition therapy, diabetes self-management, physical and occupational therapy, massage therapy, acupuncture, etc.) are available to anyone in the community regardless of being a patient of one of our doctors.
*note: these therapies will only be covered by insurance based on medical necessity as defined by the insurance companies – however we will accept payment out-of-pocket for services not covered by your insurance.

Q: “Will your doctors visit me if I am in the hospital?”
A: Our doctors and nurse practitioners do not go to the hospitals. However, it is our priority to follow you closely while you are in the hospital or the emergency room and see you as soon as possible after you are discharged. We also have ready access to hospital records and specialists’ records that we can access in real-time while you are under their care.
It is important for you to let us know if you are in the hospital or ER.

Q: “Will your doctor have an appointment with me in my home?”
A: No, all appointments are in the office.
The only exception to this is when you need to be seen after getting home from the hospital or skilled nursing facility.

Q: “Will your doctors see me if I’m in a nursing home or in rehab?”
A: No, we do not visit nursing homes or rehab. While you are there you are under the care of the physicians on staff at that facility. However, we follow you closely while you are there and keep track of your medical records in real-time. We will also schedule an appointment with you as soon as possible after you are discharged.

Q: “Do you provide annual physicals?”
A: Medicare patients receive an Annual Wellness Visit, all other insurances get an annual physical.

Q: “How will my PCP interact with my specialists?”
A: Let us know who your specialists are and keep us updated. Our care coordinators will make sure to coordinate with your specialists and facilitate a conversation between a specialist and your PCP if needed.

Q: “Where are labs done?”
A: You will get a prescription and can take it to Diamond Labs on-site at King Farm, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
BNWS does plan to add a lab day in the future.

Q: “Can I still go to the Ingleside at King Farm health clinic even if I am your patient?”
A: Yes! That service, like all Ingleside services, are available to you if you are one of our patients. We encourage you to utilize this service.
